Are you a skilled Brazer/Welder interested in a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Aerospace and Defence industry leader as they look to expand their Precision production team working on safety critical components.

As a Production Welder working in our Assembly department in Uxbridge, the role holder is responsible for undertaking a variety of processes including but not limited to a variety of welding and brazing operations, carry out welding required by maintenance and support the development process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform low-temp silver and high-temp brass brazing to BS EN 12797:2000, including stud plates, trombone tubes, and single-end fittings.
  • Weld aluminum and stainless steel to AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1 standards.
  • Operate spot welder; deburr, polish, clean, and conduct ball bearing tests to meet quality standards.
  • Support Proof of Concept and development welding tasks as needed.
  • Assist maintenance team with welding work when required.
  • Conduct self-inspections and quality checks.
  • Perform 5S duties and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations, including RA, COSHH, and MSDS compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain tools/equipment in good condition; arrange recalibration or replacement as needed.
  • Report hazards or unsafe practices to supervisors.
  • Participate in relevant training and apply modern practices.
Key Skills:
  • Good standard of education GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Specific / Technical Skills.
  • Familiar with engineering hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of measuring equipment.
  • SAP experience desirable.
  • High/Low Temp Brazing and TiG Welding.
