We are looking to hire an experienced grounds and landscape person. The ideal candidate should be looking for an opportunity to develop further into estates/grounds maintenance and should be willing to take on additional training and further development.

Machinery & Tractor Operations: Tractor work (primarily loader duties, grass cutting, and trailer towing), alongside routine day-to-day machine maintenance.

Excavator & Groundwork: Operating 360 diggers for ground clearance prior to fencing, repairing culverts, and assisting with landscaping projects.

Fencing Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining agricultural stock fencing as well as domestic boundary fencing.

Forestry & Firewood: Assisting with tree felling, processing fallen timber, and handling the processing and delivery of firewood to customers.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Background: 5+ years of practical experience on arable, mixed stock farms, or estate environments.
  • Machinery Skills: Proven experience operating farm machinery, 360 excavators, and dumpers independently.
  • Attitude: Adaptable mindset, happy to switch tasks as seasonal priorities change, and keen to expand their skill set.
  • Licensing: Full UK Driving License with trailer (BE – some need to renew their licence for this to be valid).
  • Tickets (Desirable): Chainsaw certificates (NPTC CS30/31) or digger/dumper tickets are an advantage, but hands-on experience matters most.
