ASL Technical is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team at a well-established manufacturing facility in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety professional who is ready to work with the senior HSE Advisor and take ownership of workplace safety processes and contribute to a strong safety culture. Role Overview The primary purpose of this role is to protect employees and others from work-related accidents, injuries, and illnesses by identifying risks, preventing hazards, and promoting a safe and compliant working environment. Key Responsibilities Work closely with supervisors to ensure all risk assessments are in place and kept up to date. Conduct internal audits in line with the ISO45001 Health & Safety Standard. Carry out regular safety walkarounds to ensure site-wide compliance. Record and manage health & safety data, including accident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Review and update safety policies in line with current legislation. Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to reduce workplace risks. Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant UK HSE legislation and regulations. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop suitable control measures. Communicate key health and safety information to all staff and liaise with external regulatory bodies. Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and risk assessments. Deliver training sessions on safe working practices, hazard awareness, and emergency response procedures. About You Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations. Experience working to ISO45001 standards. Confident conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Excellent communication skills to engage across departments and all levels of staff. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
