ASL Technical is currently recruiting for a Connected Car Validation Engineer to join a leading automotive programme on an initial 6-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of connected vehicle and telematics technology, supporting end-to-end validation of connected services used within modern vehicles.

Key Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end vehicle validation for connected car services, including testing via mobile apps and smartwatches.
- Ensure test resources and environments are prepared prior to validation activities.
- Raise and manage incident tickets within the incident management system and track them through to closure.
- Follow testing methods and procedures aligned with automotive specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure robust telematics validation.
- Verify that vehicle-level quality, functionality, and reliability standards are maintained following system changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.
- We are looking for candidates who have a mix of technical knowledge, validation experience, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Experience in automotive validation (beneficial but not essential).
- Practical knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities and working practices.
- Willingness to travel internationally (typically a few days to 2 weeks, occasionally longer or short notice).
- Valid UK or European driving licence (essential).
- Experience with Python programming.
- Familiarity with JIRA.
- Work on innovative connected car and telematics systems.
