ASL Technical is proud to partner with a pioneering UK-based engineering firm known for delivering high-precision solutions to some of the most demanding sectors — including Formula 1, Hypercar development, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, and Defence. With a portfolio that ranges from elite steering and suspension systems to groundbreaking eco-engineering initiatives, they’re now seeking to grow their exceptional team with a skilled and driven Design Engineer who will use Catia V5.
The Role:
As a Catia Design Engineer, you’ll play a central role in the conception, development, and delivery of technically complex and innovative mechanical systems. Whether working collaboratively on large multidisciplinary projects or independently owning smaller, specialist assignments, your work will shape world-class engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems from concept to completion.
Translate customer requirements into technically sound and innovative design solutions.
Produce high-quality CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation (primarily in CATIA V5).
Participate in and lead design reviews, continuously refining and improving designs.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure integrated, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
Represent technical work in discussions with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Ensure designs meet internal quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering (2:1 or above) or equivalent professional experience.
Ideally, 2 years post graduation experience in Aerospace, Automotive or Motorsport environment, although graduates with good engineering experience will be considered.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, mechanisms, and material selection.
Strong grounding in engineering first principles and problem-solving.
