Our client is a leading ISP. A vacancy has arisen for an IT Network Engineer / 1st Line Support working with business customers of all sizes across the UK.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience of private networks, data centre hosting and server infrastructure alongside business grade connectivity, and they will need to communicate effectively with customer IT teams and suppliers providing excellent customer service and support.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities.
- 2/3 years experience working on an IT helpdesk
- Good knowledge of firewalls and data security is essential
- Understanding of TCP/IP routing and switching
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and AWS an advantage
- Good working knowledge of virtualisation technologies an advantage
- Some retail experience and advantage
General skills required:
- Problem solving skills with the ability to think independently (without the use of AI) is essential
- The ability to use AI securely and effectively is essential
- Must be a good communicator with strong customer care skills, so retail experience is also relevant
- Experience in delivering projects and tasks on time
- Numerate and literate with an excellent attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Salary:
£26,000 - £32,000 pa depending on skills and experience
Hours:
37. 5 hour weekMonday to Friday in the office, with one week in four on call
