Our established freight forwarder client based in Sunbury is looking for someone to join their commercial team. The role will primarily focus on freight management, data accuracy, supporting pricing activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of the logistic service products for the sea, air, road, and rail modes of transport.
Duties:
- Assist with preparing customer freight quotations with the commercial team and provide timely and accurate pricing solutions.
- Support tender responses and ad hoc pricing requests.
- Support internal rate procurement and maintain accurate pricing within our freight management system (including system costings and client rate cards).
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across commercial and operational workflows.
- Assist in the development of company products and Gateway services, creating schedules and supporting consolidation management activities.
This role is more commercially driven rather than operational. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting strategy and business growth. There will be strong opportunities to develop air and sea freight with clear pathways for progression within the business.
