Opportunity for an experienced Export Supervisor to join a specialist Freight Forwarder based at their Heathrow Office. Responsible for overseeing a small team, the role will include the following aspects:
- Plan and manage air freight shipments from start to finish, including customs clearance in both the UK and at the destination, in line with customer requirements.
- Issue MAWB, HAWB, manifest, and any other required shipping documents.
- Prepare and submit customs documentation, including export declarations, export licenses, CITES, and ATA Carnets, and apply for Carnets and CITES permits as required.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Support other members of the export team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Update shipping files and internal systems, while consistently keeping customers informed of their shipment status.
- Liaise with airlines in a professional manner in order to meet operational requirements and maintain up-to-date schedule information and shipment status reports.
- Ensure all quality control procedures are updated and adhered to.
- Prepare and complete quotations and invoicing accurately and on time.
