We are looking for an experienced solicitor or executive to join our growing Private Client department. The Private Client department receives an exciting and varied mix of cases, has a very loyal client base and is well regarded across Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
The successful Private Client candidate will be at least 3 years PQE (preferably having attained the STEP diploma) and will be experienced in handling their own caseload, demonstrating good experience in the areas of wills, probate, powers of attorney, Court of Protection applications, and trusts. Private Client experience with HNW individuals, estate planning matters and farming clients is also desirable.
We also have a significant and wide-ranging caseload of contentious probate matters. It is not a requirement of the role that candidates carry out contentious work but, should the candidate have appropriate experience and wish to develop a caseload mixing contentious and non-contentious work, then that opportunity certainly exists with the balance between work types to be discussed.
The candidate would work well as part of a team as well as on their own initiative, will be IT literate, will have strong client care and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and will have a desire to participate in business development activities.
We are offering an attractive salary package which includes a generous bonus scheme paid quarterly and long service awards. In addition, we offer a designated car parking space located next to the offices. There are excellent career development opportunities with progression available for the right candidate.
At Askews, we enjoy a great working environment and benefit from the qualities of working for a friendly high street firm with family values at the heart of our business.
