Askews Legal LLP is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Solicitor to join our established team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial property matters, supporting clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent client management skills, and the ability to handle complex transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Transactions: Manage acquisitions, disposals, and leases of commercial properties, ensuring smooth completion of transactions.
  • Landlord and Tenant Matters: Advise landlords and tenants on lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, and dilapidations.
  • Development Work: Provide legal support on site acquisitions, development agreements, and planning matters.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough property searches, title reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Finance and Security: Advise on property finance, including secured lending and refinancing transactions.
  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering clear and commercially focused legal advice.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide a seamless service, particularly in corporate transactions and dispute resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 2-10+ years PQE in commercial property law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial property transactions.
  • Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • A solid understanding of landlord and tenant law, land registration, and secured lending.
  • Experience working with developers, investors, or lenders is advantageous.
