It sits within ASK4, one of the UK's leading providers of smart building connectivity and technology for the living sector, operating across purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), build-to-rent (BTR), and private rented sector (PRS) markets.
We are looking for a Strategic Account Director to join the Parcel SafePlace team on an 11 month fixed-term contract covering a period of maternity leave from June 2026.
The Role
This is a senior portfolio role, sitting above day-to-day account management to provide strategic oversight across some of our most important client relationships primarily across PBSA, BTR and PRS. The focus is proactive and end-to-end. You will own key accounts from relationship health to commercial performance, identifying risks before they surface, driving renewals, and coordinating the right internal response when clients need it most. You will also hold strategic responsibility for courier partner relationships central to the Parcel SafePlace proposition. You will work closely with account managers, operational teams, and senior leadership acting as the senior escalation point for complex situations, and consistently as the voice of the client within the business. This role suits someone who takes ownership, works independently, and gets things done.
Key Responsibilities
- Own key accounts end-to-end developing and executing strategic account plans that align ASK4's capabilities with clients' evolving needs.
- Monitor account health across the portfolio using support ticket data, KPI trends, and relationship signals to identify risks and opportunities early.
- Lead high-level service review meetings and governance sessions, setting agendas and coordinating the right internal stakeholders.
- Drive contract renewals, amendments and negotiations, securing long-term value for both client and business.
- Identify and deliver revenue growth through account penetration, cross-sell and up-sell activity.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with courier partners in support of the Parcel SafePlace proposition.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing models, proposals and value propositions for key accounts.
- Produce high-quality client-facing presentations, service report decks and strategic reporting for executive leadership.
- Lead resolution strategies for high-level escalations, coordinating internal response and restoring client confidence.
- Maintain accurate account data, including variations in bed numbers and contract terms.
- Drive continuous improvement through structured frameworks, working with Operational Excellence to strengthen client experience and internal accountability.
- Act as the voice of the client internally, ensuring feedback shapes product and service development.
About You
- Proven experience in senior or strategic account management within PBSA, BTR, PRS, or a related property technology or managed services environment.
- Commercially sharp, confident managing renewals, identifying upsell opportunities, and driving long-term account value.
- Comfortable owning accounts end-to-end, working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Confident working with data to monitor performance, identify trends and inform decisions.
- Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including at C-suite level.
- Experienced in producing and presenting high-quality client-facing materials.
- An effective collaborator able to work across cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
- Experience within the multi-family residential industry, courier networks or last-mile logistics in a residential setting.
- Familiarity with the ASK4 or Parcel SafePlace product portfolio.
- Multi-industry or international account management or operations experience.
