Full-time, 4-month fixed-term contract – Sheffield/Hybrid with travel to sites across the UK and Europe

Are you a hands‑on IT professional who has led M&A integration projects from start to finish?

Do you thrive on solving complex problems, identifying gaps in processes, and working closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders?

Can you balance strategic technical design with practical, hands‑on delivery while keeping multiple projects on track?

In this role, you will drive IT integration for M&A acquisitions, ensuring newly acquired businesses are seamlessly and securely embedded into ASK4’s internal IT environment.

This hands‑on position is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering solutions across infrastructure, applications, networks, security, and collaboration tools. Working closely with internal teams, acquired business stakeholders, and external partners, you will ensure integrations are efficient, scalable, and minimally disruptive.

You will also define and maintain ASK4’s standard onboarding framework, enabling repeatable and consistent integrations for future acquisitions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as the technical lead for IT integration projects resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
  • Translating business and operational requirements into clear, actionable technical integration plans.
  • Leading technical discovery of acquired companies, covering infrastructure, applications, networks, security, and collaboration tools.
  • Designing and implementing solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and access management, endpoint management, security tooling, and data migration.
  • Delivering system rationalisation to remove duplication and ensure a streamlined, efficient IT environment.
  • Working hands‑on to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient integrations that minimise disruption to the business.
  • Collaborating with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure integrations align with ASK4 standards and compliance requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining ASK4’s repeatable acquisition onboarding framework to support future M&A activity.
  • Producing technical documentation, playbooks, and knowledge transfer materials, while managing project plans, risks, and dependencies.

What we’re looking for

  • Hands‑on technical experience with the ability to design and directly implement complex solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Autopilot, Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, and multi‑OS environments.
  • Deep expertise in security fundamentals.
  • Confidence working across Windows, mac OS, and Linux environments.
  • A track record of delivering Microsoft 365 migrations, including tenant‑to‑tenant.
  • The ability to create detailed technical project plans and manage delivery effectively.
  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with an ability to identify gaps in solutions, policy, and process, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • The ability to balance strategic solution design with hands‑on technical delivery.
  • A valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, a valid passport, and the ability to travel to UK and EU company sites at short notice.
