ASK Lettings is a property management and development business offering landlords long‑term secured rent on 2–5 year agreements through contracts with local authorities. As approved suppliers for housing across more than 36 boroughs, ASK Lettings provides landlords with simplified management and no void periods. The company manages over 1,000 properties across London and Essex for private landlords and larger developers. In addition, ASK Lettings manages its own extensive portfolio and actively acquires a range of asset classes, including hotels, serviced accommodation, industrial units, buy‑to‑lets, office spaces, land, and development projects. This integrated approach offers team members exposure to both lettings operations and wider property investment activities.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Hornchurch for a Property Lettings & Acquisition Specialist. The role involves sourcing and onboarding new landlord clients and properties, including both residential and commercial units, in line with company acquisition criteria. The specialist will conduct property viewings, valuations, and inspections, prepare tenancy and leasing documentation, and coordinate with local authorities and internal teams to ensure compliance with housing standards and contract requirements. Daily tasks include managing landlord and tenant relationships, handling queries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring properties are well‑presented and maintained. The role also includes monitoring market trends, supporting negotiations, preparing reports on pipeline and portfolio performance, and contributing to continuous improvement of letting and acquisition processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with landlords, tenants, and partners.
  • Practical knowledge of residential real‑estate, including lettings processes, property inspections, and tenancy documentation.
  • Exposure to commercial real‑estate or mixed‑use assets, with an interest in understanding different property asset classes.
  • Sales skills, including prospecting, lead follow‑up, negotiation, and closing agreements in a target‑driven environment.
  • Proven experience in lettings, property management, or acquisitions (agency or in‑house environment preferred).
  • Good understanding of relevant UK housing regulations, local authority requirements, and compliance standards, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple properties and tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using property management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software for reporting and record‑keeping.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for property visits and viewings is highly advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in real estate, housing, or a related field are beneficial but not mandatory where equivalent experience is demonstrated.
