We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young university student, who is looking for like-minded PAs to provide his personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on a young adult's life.
Start Date: 12th January 2026
Shift Pattern: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days off
Location: York Uni (During term time) / Leeds at home (Outside of term time)
For this role, you must hold a full UK driving licence to drive the client's adapted vehicle.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: £190 per day / £1,330 per week
- 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
- Accommodation provided whilst on shift
- Full bespoke training in the client's particular requirements will be provided

About our Client
Our client is currently in his second year at University of York, studying History of Art. He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is a full-time wheelchair user, therefore he will require support in all aspects of his life. Our client is an easy-going young man, who is looking for open-minded, confident and outgoing individuals to join his care team. His interests include visiting museums and galleries, as well as watching sports, such as football and Rugby League. He also enjoys watching various TV shows and comedy movies.
About the Job
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else's life. Our client is confident in his ability, with the support of like-minded individuals, to assist him with:
- Personal Care: Bathing, Dressing, Toileting
- Health Care: Administrating medicine, using medical equipment
- Driving: Confident in your ability to safely drive the client's adapted van
- Daily Living: Cooking, Shopping, Support around university, Accompanying medical appointments
- Social Support: Visits to galleries and museums are a big part of the course
- Housekeeping / Domestic duties
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
Skills & Requirements:
- A full, clean driving licence, as you will be driving our client's adapted car (Essential)
- University experience (Desirable)
