We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young university graduate who is looking for a like-minded individual to provide their personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on a young adult's life.
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday, 9am - 12pm Sunday (3 or 4 days a week)
Location: Hanwell, London, W7
Start Date: ASAP

About Our Client: Our client is a recent graduate in Creative Writing & English Literature from Bath Spa University. They have now returned home in Hanwell and are looking for a Personal Assistant to support them at home. Our client has a disability called Arthrogryposis which causes weak muscles and stiff joints. They will require your help with everyday tasks such as personal care, social care, and daily living.
About the job: In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting every aspect of our client's daily life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with mobility, personal care, and facilitating their participation in social activities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a young person's life.
Duties include:
- Personal Care: Bathing, Dressing, Toileting.
- Health Care: Administrating medicine, using medical equipment.
- Daily Living: Cooking, Shopping.
- Social Support
- Housekeeping / Domestic duties
About You: You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care; therefore, full training in their particular needs is provided. An ideal applicant's requirements are:
- You will need to be physically fit, calm, patient, and caring.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Have the ability to commit to shifts (days, nights, weekends etc).
- Must be flexible.
- Confident in driving a medium-sized van.
- Fluent in the English Language.
- Enjoy social events, work, and university.
- Can carry out domestic tasks such as cleaning, ironing, washing, and cooking.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Provide on-call cover for absent colleagues.
- Non-Smoker.
- You must be able to respect our client's privacy and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
- Good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- A mature and responsible attitude.
