Ask Jules is recruiting on behalf of our client, a young university student who is starting their Criminology degree at City St George's University this September. They are looking for friendly, reliable and respectful Personal Assistants to join the team and support them both academically and in daily life.
Start: ASAP
Hourly Positions: £18.00 per hour (We are looking to build a team of Personal Assistants to cover 12-hour waking night shifts. All hourly shifts are worked as double-up support with two PAs on duty together) This is on a weekly rota basis guaranteeing 36 to 48 hours every week, three to four shifts.
Location: London, EC1V 0HB

About the Job
Our client is moving away from home for the first time to study Law and is looking for Personal Assistants who can provide practical support while respecting their independence and privacy. You will support with:
- Personal care and daily living tasks
- Preparing meals and light household duties
- Shaving body and face
- Maintaining hair such as taking out hair braids and any hair extensions, make up & nails
- Supporting them at university including attending lectures and helping with note taking when required
- Accompanying them to appointments, shopping, cinema, concerts, university clubs and other social activities
- Supporting them to make the most of university life while encouraging independence
Previous care experience is welcomed but is not essential, as full training in our client's specific needs will be provided.
About Our Client
Our client has Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and uses a powered wheelchair. They are excited to experience university life, make new friends and build independence while studying Law. Their interests include:
- Films, especially coming-of-age and dystopian films.
- Music, particularly Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Frank Ocean and Wizkid.
- Shopping, make-up, arts & crafts and baking.
- Visiting museums, concerts and discovering new places.
- Spending time with family and friends.
