We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a live-in Personal Assistant to a university student studying Neuroscience at Manchester University. She is looking for a likeminded individual to assist her with life at university.
Location: Manchester University (M14 6YY)
Shift Pattern: 7 days on / 7 days off (Live in)
Start Date: September 2026
Pay & Benefits
Pay: £160 per day / £1,120 per week worked
Holidays: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
About the Job
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else's life. Our client is a full-time electric wheelchair user and requires assistance with many aspects of daily life. Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Personal Care: Toileting, showering, getting dressed
- Health Care: Administering medication
- Social Support: Societies, Clubs, Going for days out etc.
- Support Around University
- Daily Living: Cooking, Shopping, Cleaning
- Commuting: Lectures, appointments
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

Despite living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, she maintains a positive outlook, enjoys a variety of hobbies, and values independence. She is looking for a compassionate and reliable PA who can support her daily needs while allowing her the freedom to enjoy university life fully.
You will need:
- To be punctual in daily life
- Respectful of the client's accommodation
- To be physically fit, calm, patient, friendly and caring
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Comfortable cooking, cleaning, and shopping for the client
- Personable with a proactive attitude to work
- A mature and responsible attitude
