  • Personal Care
  • Health Care
  • Social Support
  • Daily Living
  • Housekeeping / Domestic duties
  • Admin Support (Emails, Phone calls etc)
  • Commuting

Care experience is required due to the complex needs of our clients. You will receive full training on our client's particular requirements.

About our Client: This young adult is an ambulatory wheelchair user who relies on the assistance of dedicated caregivers to maintain their independence and well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass every aspect of daily life to ensure their comfort and quality of life. Our client is a creative individual who likes to keep busy with activities such as embroidery, painting or baking for special events such as birthdays. They live in their family home along with their 3 younger siblings and pets. The client can sometimes like time alone so will let you know if they want space.

As written by her: My disability is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which is a connective tissue disorder that causes very flexible joints, stretchy/ easily breakable skin and for myself, dysmotility throughout my digestive system and autonomic issues. I am also autistic and have ADHD. This affects a lot of my social life; I often struggle when meeting new people and have difficulties with change. I will often mask my autistic/ADHD traits in social settings, but this quickly becomes exhausting, and I struggle even more to do this when I am tired/ in pain. I can become overwhelmed/ overstimulated quite suddenly- if this happens, I often just need to be guided to a quiet space.

I'm a creative person who loves being in nature and having new adventures. I also love history and learning more and chatting about the things I'm passionate about. I value inclusivity, especially around autism acceptance, disability justice and around the LGBTQ+ community. In my free time I like to do crafty things (like embroidery and painting), hanging out with my friends, listening to audiobooks/ podcasts and going out into nature. I've never been one for nights out/ clubbing, but I do like going to gigs, museums/ art galleries and the cinema. Sometimes I would want my PA to come with me and sometimes I like to go out with friends independently. I would like a PA/s who can support me in all the things I love to do and would like to do in the future.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous care experience (Essential)
  • A Clean Automatic UK driving licence (Essential)
  • Confident driver as you will be expected to drive the vehicle
  • Physical fitness, patience, and a caring nature
  • Self-motivated and able to use your own initiative
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Mature and responsible attitude
  • Fluent in English
  • Clean and tidy appearance

Application Process: To apply, please submit a cover letter describing your interests and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for this unique and rewarding position.
