Are you a recent university graduate, or someone with an interest in Psychology looking for a rewarding and varied role? Ask Jules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Psychology student entering her second year at the University of Warwick. She is looking for friendly, reliable and respectful Personal Assistants to support her with personal care, university life and day-to-day activities.
Location: University of Warwick, CV4 / Dudley (At home) during holiday periods
Start Date: 25th September 2026
Work Pattern: 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the following week & including alternate weekends (Need to be available for the full duration of your rotad shift)
Pay: £180 per shift
Experience: Care experience is not essential as full training will be provided but preferred
About the role: This is an on-call role. You will need to be available for the full duration of your rota'd shift, approximately between 7am-11pm. You may return home when you are not required, but you must remain available and able to attend when called. You will be called upon a minimum of four times during a shift, although this may vary depending on our client's needs. When our client is at home in Dudley, there may be opportunities to work 10-hour shifts. This is preferred.
Duties include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily living
- Cooking, cleaning, shopping and other domestic tasks
- Accompanying our client to university, appointments and social activities
- Supporting with travel and accessing venues
- Driving our client's adapted manual vehicle
- Providing support during university holidays when she returns home to Dudley
About our client: Our client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is looking for a team of reliable care assistants to help her navigate throughout her university journey. Our client is passionate about Psychology, as she aspires to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. She is looking forward to socialising by going out with friends, going to cafés and restaurants, attending concerts, or just generally enjoying the local areas. Our client is looking for a team of PAs that are happy to take part in the activities that she enjoys. Having a team of PAs with similar interests to our client would be a bonus!
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, patient, understanding and respectful
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Calm and able to follow instructions
- A clear and confident communicator
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable around pets, as our client has two cats
- Able to travel to Dudley during the holidays
- A full clean manual UK driving licence holder (Essential)
