We have a fantastic opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to our client who is a professional male with a spinal injury, requiring support in Newcastle. Join his current team of PAs to provide him with personal care and daily living support.
Pay & Benefits:
- Hours: Our client will require support in the Newcastle area for one week, every other month and then there will be additional optional hours available in Cambridgeshire. Exact hours will be discussed in the interview.
- Start Date: Immediate start available
- Shift Patterns: Thursday to Sunday - 9am - 1pm
- Pay Rate: £16.56 per hour
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About Our Client
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant in the Newcastle area on a bank basis to support him whilst he visits family and potentially when he goes on holiday abroad (around 28 days per year). He has a Spinal Cord Injury and will require support with all aspects of his life including personal care, clinical care, physiotherapy, general tasks around his home, so driving will be essential for this role. Prior care experience is not required, all training will be provided but some experience is preferred.
About You
You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided. You will need to be:
- physically fit, calm, patient and caring
- a confident driver and hold a full UK driving licence with own vehicle
- fluent in the English language
- reliable and trustworthy
- a non-smoker
- organised and able to work on your own initiative
- a positive individual with a good sense of humour
- a mature and responsible individual
- have excellent hearing and communication skills
- clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
- have a valid passport
