£1,260 per week worked Accommodation: Provided while on shift Holiday: 5.6 weeks pro rata Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required About the Role Ask Jules is recruiting a Live-In Personal Care Assistant on behalf of our client in Hussingtree, Worcestershire. This is an opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team of PAs, helping our client with day-to-day life while supporting him to remain as independent as possible. The role covers a range of support, including personal care, healthcare, social activities, companionship, daily living, housekeeping and domestic duties, as well as commuting to and from work. Previous care experience is not required. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident supporting our client with his individual needs. About Our Client Our client was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 3, a genetic condition which causes weakened muscles and means he is a full-time wheelchair user. He lives at home with his parents and works within the family business while working towards becoming a financial adviser. He values his independence and wants his PAs to support him in living life on his own terms. He describes himself as easy-going, sociable and easy to get along with, with a good sense of humour. He is looking for someone who is patient, understanding and able to work with him as a team. In his own words: I currently live at home and work in the family business to become a financial adviser. I do regard myself as intelligent but can be a bit lazy sometimes so a kick up the backside in a nice way is always appreciated! As I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 3, I need someone who is understanding and patient as it can take me longer to do things. I want to be as independent as possible, so Ive chosen to become a financial adviser as it is a flexible job where I can find time to do exercise. I am looking to move into a flat which will have a room for you to stay in, but Im currently looking. My home is a bungalow that is semi adapted for me and there would always be a spare bedroom next to mine if required, although my parents will also help me when home. I know this may all sound quite overwhelming, but we will work together. I will help and guide you with how I want things done. If something isnt working for either of us, we can talk through it. No experience is necessary because full training will be given. I am an easy-going, sociable individual who is easy to get on with. I hope this has given you a good idea of what to expect.
