About the Client: Hello, I live with my boyfriend and 2 dogs (Rupert and Earl) in our 2-bedroom apartment. I am a wheelchair user because I was born with Cerebral Palsy but honestly that's the boring bit which I'll tell you about later. I am very much someone who will try everything at least once and if someone tells me they don't think I can do something, I'm doing it! I have 2 degrees and love to push my brain to its limits so prepare yourself for deep conversations and philosophical debates. I love learning about other people's cultures and beliefs; I am very open-minded and embrace what makes people who they are. I find nothing more fulfilling than making someone laugh, although I will warn you my sense of humour is dark (I'm the kind of person that laughs when they REALLY shouldn't). I have a thick skin and I'm not a pushover, unless you tip me up, then I'm done for. You may have noticed I haven't mentioned anything I physically enjoy, that's because I can feel held back by my body, I often describe myself as a 25-year-old in a 70-year-old's body. That's where you come in, at times you will be my arms and other times you will be my legs. Things that I enjoy but can find physically taxing include: cooking, going to the gym and shopping. Although I can find these things tiring, I still want to do them so I need your help. I know I said give everything a go but there are things that are a no for me. These include: Horror Movies, being coddled, moths (I don't know why), being late, alcohol (don't hate it, just not for me) and things not going to plan (although love surprises so make that make sense). I realise as I finish writing this it sounds very much like a dating profile! On a serious note if you think we would get along and you are willing to put up with I mean support me, then please consider applying as I would really like to meet you and to be honest, I really need a PA!

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Willing to work a minimum of 6 months
  • Must be a dog lover (Our client has 2 small/medium dogs)
  • A full clean UK driving licence - must be comfortable driving an automatic (Essential)
  • To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • A mature and responsible attitude
  • To be confident and comfortable supporting someone with personal care
  • Comfortable in your own company and be able to occupy yourself when not needed by the client.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Clean and respectful of the client's home and personal space.

Application Process: To apply, please submit a cover letter describing your interests and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for this unique and rewarding position. From here there is a multi-stage process: a phone call with Ask Jules to confirm candidate suitability, an informal call with the Client, an interview and a shadow shift. Upon successful completion of all stages and DBS checks you will be offered the position.
