Personal Care Assistant for a Counselling Psychology student. Ask Jules is recruiting on behalf of our client who is finishing his Counselling Psychology degree in June and will be moving back home to Falmouth. We are looking for a Personal Care Assistant to help with daily living support and social independence.

Start Date: Immediate start available

Location: Falmouth

Shifts: 7 days on, 7 days off

Rate of pay: £160 per day / £1,120 per week worked

Bespoke training in the client's particular requirements will be provided. On-call support from client coordinator.

About the client: Our client has Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, which causes progressive muscle weakness. This means they may take longer to complete tasks and require support with certain physical activities. They are keen to remain as independent as possible, so it’s important that the ideal PA is patient, understanding, and supportive.

As written by the client: I have recently completed university and am transitioning back home. I have a strong interest in counselling psychology and enjoy staying engaged with current topics. I’m sociable and enjoy spending time with friends, going out, and taking part in activities such as table tennis. I have a good sense of humour and like to keep things relaxed and positive. I value my independence and privacy, and I prefer support to be given discreetly so I can get on with my day. I am very close to my family and will be living at home in Falmouth.
