We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a live-in care assistant to a recent graduate in Liverpool to support with daily living.
Location : Liverpool
Shift Pattern : Live in, 7 days on / 7 days off (However, for the right applicant, alternative shift patterns can be discussed)
Role : Temporary 2 to 3 months
Start Date : ASAP
Pay & Benefits
Pay : £200 per day / £1,400 per week worked
Holidays : 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
Due to the personal care needs of the client, this role is open to female applicants only. This requirement is an occupational requirement as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Bespoke training on the clients particular requirements will be provided. On-call support from the client coordinator
About the Job
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody elses life. Our client is a full-time wheelchair user and requires assistance with many aspects of daily life. The most important thing for our client is that her relationships with her PAs feel more like a friendship than strictly professional. Daily duties include but are not limited to:
Personal Care - Assistance with showering, going to the toilet, getting dressed
Health Care - Administering medication and using respiratory equipment
Daily Living - Cooking, shopping and cleaning
Social Support Help when out and about, for example going to gigs, musicals and social clubs
Commuting A full UK driving license is essential as our client has an adapted vehicle that you will be insured to drive
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About our client
She is a laid-back individual with a lust for spontaneous adventure. She is looking to recruit a small team of PAs who can keep up with her busy lifestyle and who will be up for getting out and about and helping her make the most of life. She is very cheerful, understanding, and patient. She is in the process of moving to Liverpool where she is currently seeking job opportunities.

"Some things I enjoy include travelling, going to concerts and musicals, starting but never finishing arty projects, and cooking (or rather, watching you do all the work while I just prod things in the pan and then take the credit). I need assistance from a PA with most aspects of my daily life, including getting to and from work, where I may be working night shifts. A big part of your role will involve being on call nearby in case I need anything, and therefore its important you have some portable hobbies and can keep yourself entertained. I like my PAs to be able to go with the flow and be responsible but not serious - humour makes personal care less awkward!"
Essential Criteria:
Aged 21 or above due to our clients car insurance criteria
Hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver
Physically fit and comfortable carrying out above tasks
Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
Personable with a proactive, responsible and mature attitude to work
Good communication skills
