Job Description
Live-In Personal Care Assistant for a History PhD Student
Ask Jules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a master's student at the University of Cardiff. They are studying Politics and International Relations and their thesis is on PIRA bombings during the Northern Ireland conflict. The client suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and as such is a full-time wheelchair user with significant weakness in their arms. They are looking for a PA to assist them with daily life.
Start: November 2025
Rota: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days off
Location: Cardiff (CF14) with occasional national and international travel.
Pay: £150 per day = £1,050 per week
Free accommodation whilst on shift.
Nest Pension Scheme
Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
An Automatic Driving Licence and a valid Passport are required for this role

Robbie is an outgoing and laid-back individual with a passion for live music and rock gigs. A huge fan of bands like Kasabian, Muse, Ben Howard, and Arctic Monkeys, he often attends concerts and would appreciate a PA who can join him. Robbie also enjoys watching rugby and holds 6 Nations tickets, making match days a highlight for him.
An avid follower of current affairs, politics, and international news, Robbie values open-minded discussions and seeks a PA who can engage in thoughtful conversations. His hobbies also include playing the guitar, watching films like the Bourne series and Lord of the Rings, and unwinding with Xbox gaming.
