We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is living in Chesterfield. Our client is looking for a like-minded person to join her care team to provide her personal care and independent living support. This is a fantastic opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adult's life!

Start: Immediate

Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off

Location: Chesterfield (S43)

Pay: £140 per day / £980 per week worked

Free accommodation whilst on shift

Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata

An Automatic UK Driving licence is required for this position.

This is an amazing opportunity to make a positive difference in our client's life. Our client is confident in her ability and lives in her home with the support of like-minded individuals to assist her with:

  • Commuting to and from work

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

Our client has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. She is working at Derbyshire Constabulary. With a happy and positive demeanour as well as a good sense of humour, our client enjoys spending time with her boyfriend (who lives with her) and playing with her dogs. Other interests include watching TV/documentaries, getting lost in a good book and playing games on her PC. She has a very open mind and is always up for a philosophical debate. She is often described as easy-going and goes with the flow.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be a dog lover; our client has 2 small/medium dogs
  • A full clean UK driving licence - must be comfortable driving an automatic
  • To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • A mature and responsible attitude
  • To be confident and comfortable supporting someone with personal care
  • Comfortable in your own company and be able to occupy yourself when not needed by the client
  • Fluent in English
  • Non-smoker
  • Clean and respectful of the client's home and personal space

Please note, the client works for the emergency services, you will need to be vetted for this role, which will be more in depth than a DBS.
