We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a university student studying Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at the University of the West of England (UWE).
Start Date: ASAP
Location: University of West England - Bristol (BS16 1 QY)
Shift Pattern: 7 days on / 7 days off (live in)
Rate of Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: £200 per day / £1,400 per week
- Holidays: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
A full and clean UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be required to drive the client's vehicle. Bespoke training in the client’s particular requirements will be provided, along with on-call support from the client coordinator.
About our Client: Our client is an enthusiastic and active individual with cerebral palsy, starting his first year at UWE Bristol to study Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. He is a sports enthusiast, enjoying cricket, rugby, and football, both as a spectator and participant. Besides sports, he is a keen advocate for young people with disabilities, participating in various forums to drive positive change. He also has a love for music, with a particular fondness for AC/DC and Foo Fighters, and enjoys attending live events.

We are looking for a positive, like-minded PA to assist our client with day-to-day living and general support at university with his studies, helping him to lead as independent a life as possible. Clear and open communication with the client is essential. It's important that you work collaboratively with the client's current team, ensuring that no one feels isolated and that everyone remains involved and connected.
Our client would like someone who is supportive and proactive, helping with personal care, socialising, and everyday tasks. This role goes far beyond simply personal care work; it includes all the fun things you would expect a university student to be doing, like going out, seeing friends, day trips or on holiday, and much more!
Care experience is not required as full training in our client’s particular requirements will be provided.
You will need:
- Full & Clean UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- To be physically fit, calm, patient, friendly and caring
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- To have a good sense of humour
- Be Personable
- A mature and responsible attitude
- Great communication skills
- To be fluent in English
