Ask Jules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Psychology student entering her second year at the University of Warwick. She is looking for a friendly, reliable and respectful Personal Assistant to support her with personal care, university life and day-to-day activities.
Location: University of Warwick, CV4
Start Date: 27th September 2026
Work Pattern: Week 1: Friday night 6pm-6am & Sunday day 6am-6pm. Week 2: Saturday day 6am-6pm. This is a part-time position.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Experience: Care experience is not essential as full training will be provided but preferred.
About the role: This role would suit a recent university graduate or an individual with an interest in Psychology! Our client is looking forward to the second year of their degree in Psychology at the University of Warwick from September. She enjoys her independence and will be staying in university student accommodation. Our client is looking for a team of friendly, honest and respectful personal care assistants to provide her health and social support. This role goes far beyond simply care work and includes all the fun things you'd expect a 2nd year university student to be doing, like going out and socialising!
Duties include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily living
- Cooking, cleaning, shopping and other domestic tasks
- Accompanying our client to university, appointments and social activities
- Supporting with travel and accessing venues
- Driving our client's adapted manual vehicle
- Providing support during university holidays when she returns home to Dudley
About our client: Our client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is looking for a team of reliable care assistants to help her navigate throughout her university journey. Our client is passionate about Psychology, as she aspires to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. She is looking forward to socialising by going out with friends, going to cafés and restaurants, attending concerts, or just generally enjoying the local areas. Our client is looking for a team of PAs that are happy to take part in the activities that she enjoys. Having a team of PAs with similar interests to our client would be a bonus!
As written by our client... “I love listening to music, which can be anywhere from RnB and Rap to Pop and Country; some of my favourite artists are Gracie Abrams, Olivia Dean, SZA, Ariana Grande, Madison Beer, Kendrick Lamar and Brent Faiyaz. My hope is to see them all in concert one day (I've already seen 4/7)! I also enjoy watching Formula 1 and am a Ferrari supporter at heart. In addition to this, I look forward to watching new films and shows as well as attempting to bake. I also really enjoy going to new places and trying new foods, in the hopes of travelling in the future! I am open to trying out your suggestions as well! I also like to stay in sometimes, which can include watching a film, reading a book or just relaxing. It is important to note that I am very sarcastic, but it is only because I love to have a laugh! If you are a bit weird, we will probably get along!”
