About our Client
Our client lives with Congenital Myopathy and is a full-time wheelchair user. She’s fun, social, and creative – she loves art, music, plants, and going out with friends. She wants a PA who is supportive, upbeat, and able to help her maintain her independence both in and outside of university life.
As written by her:
“During my time at university, I would like to have the full experience despite my condition, so I need someone who is willing to have fun with me and encourage me to go out. I like to be very independent so I am looking for somebody who can help me achieve this by helping me build my confidence to go to new places.
I enjoy being creative so I will need someone who can help me get everything out like my paints and other art tools. I love music and would like to experience more concerts and go on fun nights out with my friends; I also like plants so I will need someone to water them for me.”
About the Job
You’ll support our client with all aspects of daily living, including:
- Personal and healthcare support
- Social and academic activities
- Housekeeping and domestic tasks
- Attending appointments and events
This is a role that goes beyond care work as you’ll be part of her university experience, helping her enjoy nights out, social events, and everyday student life.
Previous care experience is welcomed but not necessary as full training will be provided.
About You
You’ll be:
- Physically fit, calm, patient, and caring
- Organised and able to use your own initiative
