Are you a recent university graduate, looking for an exciting opportunity? AskJules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Psychology student, who is going to start her second year at the University of Warwick in September. Our client is looking for a team of like-minded care assistants to support her with personal care and daily living.

Location: University of Warwick, CV4 (Term Time Only) / Dudley, DY2 (Holiday Time)

Start Date: July 2026

Work pattern: Between 36 - 48 hours per week / A mixture of days & nights on a two-week rolling rota

Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour

Care experience is not essential for this role as full training will be provided.

About the Job: This role would suit a recent university graduate or an individual with an interest in Psychology! Our client enjoys her independence and will be staying in university student accommodation. You will also have to travel to our client's home in Dudley during the holiday periods. Our client is looking for a team of friendly, honest and respectful personal care assistants to provide her health and social support. This role goes far beyond simply care work and includes all the fun things you'd expect a 2nd year university student to be doing, like getting out and socialising!

Full clean manual driving licence is required for this role, as you will be driving our client's adapted manual vehicle.

Duties will include:

  • Assistance with personal care
  • Domestic duties / cooking, cleaning & shopping
  • Accompanying our client to appointments & social events
  • Supporting around university and beyond
  • Support with travelling and accessing venues

About our client: Our client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is looking for a team of reliable care assistants to help her navigate throughout her university journey. Our client is passionate about Psychology, as she aspires to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. She is looking forward to socialising by going out with friends, going to cafés and restaurants, attending concerts, or just generally enjoying the local areas. Our client is looking for a team of PAs that are happy to take part in the activities that she enjoys. Having a team of PAs with similar interests to our client would be a bonus!

  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Have good and clear communication skills
  • Be fluent in English
  • Pet lover, as our client has two cats
  • Be able to travel to her home in Dudley during holiday periods - 4 weeks during Christmas and Easter and 12 during Summer (essential)
  • Hold a clean manual driving licence (essential)
