About our Client:
Our client is a Zoology graduate who is currently looking for her first job role after finishing her undergraduate degree in September 2025. She has a diagnosis of Athetoid Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user. Her many hobbies include anything to do with animals, eating out and cinema visits. The client leads a very active life by looking for a full-time job and meeting up with friends and family. With a joyful and delightful persona, as well as a good sense of humour, our client enjoys going out to social events, such as theatre and cinema trips as well as just staying in and watching TV.
As written by her: I am interested in nature and animals and will always take the opportunity to watch a David Attenborough documentary, as well as having our own supply of animals (2 dogs, and a horse). I am a very social person, and now that I have finished my degree, I take every opportunity to go out and have fun. I can get socially anxious however, so will need some gentle encouragement when meeting new people. Saying this, I like to go to the pub, theatre, cinema, to eat out and to see friends. I equally like just staying in and watching a bingeable series. Looking my best is important to me, so a willingness to do hair and makeup is required.
About the Job:
This is a fantastic opportunity to truly make a positive difference to somebody else's life by assisting our client to achieve her goals and aspirations. Therefore, this job offers the prospect of meaning and job satisfaction. You will provide support for our client's career as well as health and social care. This is also a flat mate type of role which goes far beyond simply care work and includes all the fun things you'd expect a university graduate to be doing, like staying in and watching TV, going out to see friends, going to the cinema, going on holiday and much more! As well as this, there will be some housekeeping required as well as managing medications and our client's care routine. Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
You will need:
- To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
- To be fluent in English
- To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
- To be good with animals
- To have good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- To have a good sense of humour
- To have a mature and responsible attitude
- To have good communication skills
- To have a full clean UK driving licence - you need to be a confident Motorway driver as you will be required to drive the client's adapted vehicle.
