We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young female adult, who is currently studying Economics. She is looking for two like-minded PAs to join her care team to provide her personal care and assist her in daily living. This is an amazing opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adult’s life.

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £15 per hour

Shift Pattern: Days & Nights available

  • Days: Monday, Thursday & Friday 8am to 8pm
  • Nights: Monday & Thursday 8pm to 8am

Location: London WC1H

6 week's holiday pro rata. Accommodation provided when on shift.

Our client is an Economics student studying her degree at The SOAS University of London. She has a diagnosis of SMA 2 and is a full-time wheelchair user. Her many hobbies include socialising, singing, music & meeting friends. The client leads a very active social life by meeting up with friends and family.

With a joyful and delightful persona, our client enjoys going out to social events, such as parties and nights out. As written by her: "I would like to be treated like any other young person, and if I need your help, I’ll ask for it. Some of my interests include singing, writing, acting, and learning new languages. I have a huge interest in anything related to music! I love listening to the K-Pop genre, Taylor Swift, Halsey and Måneskin (just to name a few!)."

This is a fantastic opportunity to truly make a positive difference to somebody else’s life. To assist our client to achieve her goals and aspirations. Therefore, this job offers the prospect of meaning and job satisfaction. This is also a "flat mate" type of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you’d expect a first-year university student to be doing, like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday and much more!

Care experience is not required as full training in our client’s particular requirements will be provided.

About You:

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client’s care therefore full training in her particular needs is provided.

You will need:

  • To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • To have a good sense of humour
  • University experience preferred but not essential
  • A mature and responsible attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • To be fluent in English
  • To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
