Graduate Lifestyle PA Counselling, Work another might involve swimming, going to the gym, cooking together, heading out socially or simply helping life run smoothly at home. No previous care experience is required full training in our client's individual requirements will be provided. The Role at a Glance Start Date: ASAP Location: Congleton, Cheshire, with travel to Crewe for work Rota: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days off Pay: Β£200 per day Β£1,400 per week worked Accommodation: Free accommodation while on shift Holiday: 5.6 weeks pro rata Pension: NEST Pension Scheme A clean UK driving licence is essential , as you will drive our client's automatic adapted vehicle. Supporting a Professional Career An important and unusual part of this PA role is supporting our client in her developing professional career. This can include accompanying her on the commute to work in Crewe, helping her set up her counselling room and providing practical assistance around her working day. When she has been working remotely, you may also provide physical assistance with recording or writing client notes as directed by her. Because of the confidential nature of counselling work, all PAs will be required to sign an appropriate confidentiality agreement before assisting with work-related duties. You do not need counselling qualifications to undertake the role. However, someone with an interest in counselling, psychology, mental health, wellbeing or other people-focused professions may find this aspect of the position particularly interesting. Everyday Life Alongside supporting our client's career, you will help her live the independent and active life she chooses. Support will include: Personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting Driving and accompanying our client to work and appointments Cooking and preparing meals Medication support and attending healthcare appointments Gym, swimming and other activities Social activities and getting out and about Assistance navigating unfamiliar environments Practical support with eating and drinking when required General household and domestic tasks There will also be periods when your support isn't required and you will be able to relax or do your own thing while remaining available if needed. In Our Client's Own Words I don't require much support during the night, although occasionally I may need help changing position. During the day I need more support with things like cooking, dressing, getting out and about and going to work using my accessible vehicle. When we're out, I may need help navigating unfamiliar places and sometimes assistance with eating and drinking if I'm tired or can't comfortably reach something. I enjoy my food and have a varied diet, so you'll need to be happy cooking and preparing meals for me. When you're not needed, you can relax or do your own thing. I hope that gives you a good idea of what working with me will be like. About You Personality and compatibility are particularly important in this role. We are looking for someone who is: A confident driver with a clean UK driving licence Friendly, patient and easy-going Mature, responsible and dependable A good communicator and, importantly, a good listener Physically fit enough to provide the required practical support Comfortable around dogs Able to swim and happy to support our client with swimming Fluent in English Respectful of professional boundaries and confidentiality Happy to become part of our client's everyday working and social life You might be a recent graduate deciding what comes next, someone considering a career in counselling, psychology or mental health, or simply someone looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely help another young person live independently.
