As written by the client: I'm a full time wheelchair user. I will have an adapted flat on campus, and you will have an en-suite flat next to me. I have been nerfed by God in the form of Ullrich Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle weakness. You will need to embrace student life alongside me and be flexible, easy going, and adaptable. First and foremost, I want my PA to be friendly and have a good sense of humour and we will be interacting with friends so banter is needed. You also need to be okay with student life and flexible enough to help me with day-to-day tasks at university. In terms of personality, I'm looking for a PA who is friendly, chilled, has a great sense of humour (expect high levels of dark humour from me!), reliable, and flexible, with problem solving skills that will help get me out of sticky situations!

About You:

  • Must be trustworthy, and reliable, have a sense of humor and be flexible.
  • You will be energetic, proactive with a can do attitude, motivated to do the best for our client at all times, a team player with a good sense of humor and excellent conversational skills.
  • Experience with professional care would be desirable but not essential as you will receive full training around our client's care needs.
  • DBS Check and references will be required upon successful application.
  • Clean UK driving license (desired).
  • Flexibility, when a need arises, to ensure 24/7 cover is maintained.

Application Process: To apply, please submit a cover letter describing your interests and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for this unique and rewarding position.
