We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is a university student at the University of Warwick. Our client is looking for a like-minded individual to join his current care team to provide his personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adult's life.
Start: Immediate start
Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off (A mixture of days & nights)
Location: Uni of Warwick (CV4 7AL)
Pay: £170 per day = £1,190 per week worked
Free accommodation whilst on shift.
Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
About the Job: This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else's life. Our client is confident in his ability and lives in student accommodation with the support of like-minded individuals to assist him with:
- Personal Care
- Health Care
- Social Support
- Daily Living
- Housekeeping / Domestic duties
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About our Client: Our client has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and as a result, is a full-time wheelchair user. He relies on the assistance of dedicated caregivers to maintain his independence and well-being. This young individual has a great sense of humour and is not looking to be mothered by his PAs. The client will let you know if and when he requires assistance. Your responsibilities will encompass every aspect of daily life to ensure his comfort and quality of life.
As written by him: "In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching films/TV and I am particularly keen to hire PAs who share these interests. I'm also eager to find PAs who are relaxed, self-aware and not patronising, with respect for personal boundaries and a sense of humour."
