- Live In - £170 per day / £1,190 per week
- Rota 7 days on / 7 days off

- Free accommodation when on shift.

Our client has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), which is a muscle-deteriorating condition that causes progressive muscle weakness. As a result, our client is a full-time electric wheelchair user. Some of their interests include watching football, rugby, playing video games, and watching films such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Blade Runner.
While all aspects of personal care are included in this role, we are looking for someone who is confident, outgoing, and enthusiastic about social events. This is a flatmate type of role which requires the planning of activities, encouraging socialising, and exploring new places. This is more than your typical care assistant position. Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About You:
For this role, we are looking for a person with a good sense of humour, who is physically fit, calm, patient, and caring. Additionally, they will:
- Possess great organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative
- A mature and responsible attitude
- Great communication skills
- To be fluent in English.
- To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
- A clean UK driving licence, as you will be driving our client's adapted automatic car (Essential)
- Comfortable around pets (our client has recently welcomed a new dog into the family)
Duties will include:
- Personal care and social support;
- Health Care
- Daily Living cooking
- Domestic duties cleaning, ironing, washing etc
- Maintain good order, appearance and behaviour.
