Purpose of the Role
The Brand Manager plays a key role in driving customer engagement, frequency and brand affinity across ASK Italian’s owned digital channels and wider commercial marketing activity. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day management and optimisation of ASK’s digital ecosystem, including the website, ASK Perks loyalty programme, CRM communications, Google/Yext presence and promotional activity. Alongside strong digital and loyalty expertise, the role also supports the development and delivery of wider brand communications, campaign planning and commercially‑driven marketing activity across the customer calendar. We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with strong digital capability. Someone who understands how great communications, customer experience and loyalty mechanics work together to drive commercial impact.
Key Accountabilities
- ASK Owned Digital Channels: Lead the day‑to‑day management of ASK’s owned digital ecosystem, ensuring all customer‑facing channels remain accurate, engaging, commercially effective and aligned to brand standards.
- Website Management: Own website content updates through the CMS, ensuring menus, campaign messaging, promotions, bookings information and brand content are consistently up to date and optimised for customer experience and conversion.
- Digital Presence: Manage ASK’s wider digital footprint across Google Business, Yext and other customer‑facing platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency and optimisation of listings, imagery, reviews and local information.
- Email & CRM (ECRM): Own the planning, briefing, writing and delivery of ASK CRM communications across BAU and campaign activity, working closely with the CRM Manager to drive engagement, frequency, retention and conversion.
- Loyalty & ASK Perks: Lead the day‑to‑day management and implementation of the ASK Perks loyalty programme, including customer offers, app content, loyalty communications and campaign execution to drive member engagement and repeat visits.
- Promotions & Offers: Support the development and implementation of ASK’s commercial trading plan across digital channels, ensuring promotional activity is communicated effectively and delivered accurately across all customer touchpoints.
- Paid Social Support: Support wider paid social communications planning through briefing, messaging development and creative coordination in line with campaign objectives and customer insight.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly review website, CRM and loyalty performance data to identify opportunities to improve engagement, customer journey and commercial impact.
Brand Communications & Content
- Support the development and implementation of wider brand and campaign communications across the annual marketing calendar.
- Work closely with the wider marketing team to help shape integrated customer communications plans across key campaigns, launches and seasonal activity.
- Content Development: Support the planning and delivery of content across owned channels, ensuring creative assets and messaging align with ASK’s tone of voice, brand positioning and commercial priorities.
- Copywriting: Develop engaging copy across digital and campaign channels, ensuring all communications are customer‑focused, on‑brand and aligned to campaign objectives. Support the development of briefs for creative assets across digital and in‑restaurant channels.
Promotions + Commercial Activity
- Own the execution and communication of in‑restaurant customer offers and loyalty activity across digital channels and CRM touchpoints.
- Work cross‑functionally with internal teams and external platforms (including Comtrex, Atreemo, Openr) to ensure promotional mechanics, customer journeys and T&Cs are implemented accurately and on time.
- Support wider commercial and campaign planning activity, ensuring marketing communications align with business priorities and trading objectives.
BAU Responsibilities
- Budget management across areas of responsibility.
- Support wider marketing projects and campaigns as required.
- Contribute to annual marketing and communications planning.
- Support large‑scale marketing initiatives including loyalty programme development, digital transformation projects and brand strategy activity.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally within hospitality, retail, leisure or another customer‑facing environment.
- Strong experience across digital marketing channels, including website CMS management, CRM/email marketing and customer loyalty programmes.
- Experience working with website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and confidence interpreting performance data and customer behaviour.
- Strong understanding of promotional marketing and customer engagement mechanics.
- Experience supporting integrated campaign planning and wider brand communications activity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working cross‑functionally across marketing, digital, operations and commercial teams.
- Strong copywriting capability with the ability to adapt tone of voice across channels and audiences.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience briefing creative work and working collaboratively with designers and agencies.
- Previous people management experience is advantageous.
- Marketing degree educated or equivalent experience would be preferred.
- A genuine interest in food, hospitality and customer experience!
