Responsibilities:
- Support the store management in meeting or exceeding store sales targets.
- Work with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to achieve brand standards in customer service, selling, product presentation, and merchandising.
Position in the Organisation:
- Reports directly to: Store Manager.
- In his absence, replaces: Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Result Fields:
- Support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in meeting or exceeding store sales targets.
- Assist the management team by effectively leading the staff to achieve financial, customer service, and merchandising standards through effective product, people, and service planning.
- Act as a keyholder, sharing in the opening and closing responsibilities of the store.
Key Tasks:
- Lead by example in effectively building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Lead by example in the execution of operational procedures, tasks, and processes.
- Ensure all cash handling is accurate while facilitating a superior checkout experience.
- Support and offer guidance to staff within the store, focused on delivering the required standards of (visual) merchandising, presentation, and promotional activity.
- Recognise product flow opportunities and partner with management and Associates on process improvements.
- Manage back of house operations and share in the cleaning duties of the store where required.
- Partner with management to ensure that all visual and merchandising directives, promotions, and markdowns are completed in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:
- Two years of experience working in a retail environment.
- Must have or be pursuing a High School diploma or GED.
- Able to effectively communicate in English (both written and verbal).
- Able to perform basic math functions.
- Excellent skills needed in communication (written & oral), teamwork, flexibility, proactiveness, and stress resistance.
- Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and store personnel, manoeuvre around the sales floor, stockroom, and store office; lift and carry 40 lbs/18.14 kilograms.
- Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings, and store closings according to the needs of the business.
