Responsibilities
- To represent and facilitate a consistent, data-driven, and collaborative approach to suicide and self-harm prevention across the Strategic Road Network in Wales including both Trunk Road Agents (SWTRA and NMWTRA).
- This involves ensuring that interventions are evidence-based, that best practices are shared and applied, and that all stakeholders—including the Police, NHS Wales, and local authorities, work together effectively to reduce incidents and improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
- The role requires a combination of behavioural insight, data capability, stakeholder management and an understanding of policy and operational contexts.
- The work is complex, involving multi-agencies dealing with sensitive topics.
- This is a pan-Wales role, representing and supporting Welsh Government SRN division to identify and manage locations of concern on the strategic road network.
- Working across stakeholders, the aim is to improve the evidence base and information which will help inform interventions, to support Welsh Government, both Trunk Road Agents and supply chains to develop proportionate plans.
Welsh Language skills are not required. Applications may be submitted in Welsh, applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
