We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established and reputable commercial vehicle operation in Worthing, who are looking to appoint an experienced Workshop Controller to support the efficient running of their busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled commercial vehicle professional — either an experienced Workshop Controller or a senior technician ready to step up — who is looking for long‑term stability, strong earning potential, and manufacturer‑backed career development.

The Role

Working closely with the workshop and management team, the Workshop Controller will be responsible for coordinating daily workloads, maximising workshop efficiency, and ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and safety are maintained at all times.

Hours

  • 46.25 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday: 06:00am – 04:00pm (1‑hour lunch break)
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays: 07:00am – 12:00 noon

Salary

From £41,245.75 per annum (£17.15 per hour)

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician (essential)
  • Strong understanding of workshop control and job scheduling
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced commercial vehicle environment
