Our client is a well-respected independent garage in the Cranleigh area looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to keep the wheels turning (literally). They pride themselves on quality workmanship, a professional approach, and looking after both their customers and their team.
The Role
You’ll be the engine behind a busy workshop, making sure everything runs smoothly from job allocation to vehicle handover. You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating the daily workload for a team of six technicians.
- Prioritising jobs and keeping the workshop productive.
- Monitoring work in progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Liaising with the front-of-house team to keep customers informed.
- Supporting technicians and helping solve the inevitable curveballs that workshop life throws your way.
- Keeping standards high while maintaining a calm head when everyone else has just one quick question.
