I am working with a client who is launching a brand-new, purpose-built LCV workshop near Maidstone, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and supporting both workshop and mobile operations. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced LCV Technicians to secure strong earnings of £40,000–£45,000 basic, with Mobile Technicians earning £60,000, alongside a choice of well-structured shift patterns. It’s a modern setup offering stability, flexibility, and great earning potential from day one.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on LCVs (up to 3.5T)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Respond to breakdowns and roadside assistance where required (mobile roles)
- Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and safety compliance standards
- Complete accurate job sheets, service records, and compliance documentation
- Liaise professionally with fleet controllers, drivers, and site contacts
- Maintain stock and tooling within mobile workshop vehicles
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role or within a workshop team
- Flexibility to work structured shift patterns (mobile roles)
Salary and Benefits
- Workshop Technicians: £40,000 – £45,000 basic, Monday–Friday, 7am–4:30pm
- Mobile Technicians: £40,000 – £45,000 basic + OTE up to £60,000, 4 on / 4 off shift pattern. Choice of days or nights: 6am–6pm or 8pm–8am
- Fully equipped mobile workshop van provided (mobile roles)
- Ongoing training and development
