A brand-new commercial bodyshop with heavy investment into the latest tools and equipment. A growing pipeline of national fleet work. This is an opportunity for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join a modern HGV and LCV repair operation that is expanding fast and building a strong reputation within the commercial vehicle sector.

Based in the Maidstone area, this business is looking for a multiskilled technician with experience across welding, fabrication, panel repair, MET, or VDA work. The successful candidate will join a skilled workshop team carrying out high-quality repairs that keep commercial fleets on the road safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles
  • Completing welding and fabrication work to a high standard
  • Undertaking panel repairs, replacements, and alignment work
  • Supporting MET and VDA duties where required
  • Assessing vehicle damage and identifying effective repair solutions
  • Working to manufacturer repair methods and company standards
  • Maintaining productivity targets and workshop efficiency
  • Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a vehicle bodyshop environment
  • Skilled in welding, fabrication, panel beating, MET, or VDA work
  • MIG/MAG welding experience preferred
  • Strong technical ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ideally experienced with commercial vehicles, HGVs, or fleet repairs
  • Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic salary: £42,120, OTE £50,000+
  • Labour hours bonus scheme – all hours over 40 labour hours paid
  • Monday to Friday only, 7:00am–4:00pm OR 7:30am–5:00pm
