Automotive Technician/Workshop Manager required near Kettering. Up to Β£45,000 basic + overtime, Monday to Friday only.
Our client, a professional and successful Independent Service Centre, is expanding their workshop with a brand new role for a Workshop Controller/Senior Mechanic. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to keep their hands on the tools whilst also pushing the team forward to deliver for themselves and the business. You will be at the forefront of the workshop, leading from the front and being the 'go to' within the department. Each day will be different, varying upon the workload and each technical issue that comes into the workshop. This is a company with a strong lineage and genuine support provided from the management team on all issues within the Service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of technicians to deliver high-quality work
- Ensure all work is completed on time and to the highest standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and staff, ensuring excellent service
- Where required, service and repair vehicles
