HGV Workshop Manager required near Kettering up to £55,000 basic salary Monday to Friday, 7:30 till 17:30. Our client, an expanding HGV Main Dealer, is seeking an experienced and passionate Workshop Manager to join its family-run workshop. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a supportive Commercial garage that holds its staff wellbeing and development as highly as its efficiencies.
You will become an integral part of the business and manage, lead and support an experienced team of Technicians. With the company growing, there will be further progression opportunities for those who desire it.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in the management of implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels.
- Deliver gross profit in the department by maximising the number of hours available, driving revenue per transaction, ensuring 100% adherence to the VHC process and motivating product sales.
- Distribute and control the issue of work to the Technicians to maximise quality and overall efficiency.
- Lead, motivate, coach and develop the team to achieve their daily objectives.
- Ensure a strong relationship is maintained with the parts department to maximise parts availability.
- Ensure the accurate completion of all relevant documentation for each repair.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Workshop Manager or Controller.
- Previous experience working with HGVs or in a dealership environment.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
- HGV Licence (desirable, but not essential).
To be considered for the role, you must hold a proven background in the Automotive sector as a Workshop Controller or Team Leader.
