Trainee Garage Equipment Engineer
Are you mechanically minded, good with your hands and looking to build a career in engineering?
We’re looking for a Trainee Garage Equipment Engineer to join a growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an engineering or mechanical brain who enjoys figuring out how things work and wants to learn a skilled trade.
You don’t need previous experience as a garage equipment engineer — full training will be provided!
The Role
You’ll initially work alongside an experienced engineer, travelling to garages, workshops and other customer sites to learn the role.
You’ll get involved with the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of garage and workshop equipment, which can include:
- Vehicle lifts and lifting equipment
- MOT and testing equipment
- Tyre fitting and balancing equipment
- Compressors and associated equipment
- Workshop machinery and equipment
- Carrying out servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and helping with repairs
- Installing new equipment at customer sites
Every day will be different, and you’ll spend plenty of time out on the road rather than being stuck in one workshop.
As you gain experience and become fully trained, you’ll have the opportunity to work more independently and will be provided with a fully equipped company van.

- Full UK driving licence preferred
