  • Hailsham Area | £35,000–£38,000 | Monday–Friday | No Weekends (Yes, really!)

Tired of chasing bonus targets that are harder to find than a 10mm socket?

If you're a Vehicle Technician who takes pride in fixing cars properly, enjoys a good laugh in the workshop, and wants your weekends back, this could be just the job.

Our client is a well-established independent specialist garage in the Hailsham area with a close-knit team of seven (growing to ten).

They believe in doing the job right the first time, supporting each other, and keeping the tea flowing almost as well as the engine oil.

No unrealistic efficiency targets.

No Saturday mornings.

No corporate red tape.

Just a solid workshop, your own ramp, and a team that knows the difference between a technician and a parts fitter.

What You'll Be Doing

From routine servicing to more involved mechanical repairs, you'll get stuck into a varied workload including:

  • Servicing and maintenance.
  • Diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Mechanical repairs.
  • Keeping customers safely on the road (and occasionally wondering who thought cable ties were an acceptable repair...).

If injector work or engine repairs are already in your toolbox, even better—but if not, there's plenty of opportunity to develop those skills through ongoing training.

  • What You'll Need
  • Solid mechanical experience across a wide range of vehicle repairs.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A good sense of humour helps... especially when someone asks, "Can you just have a quick look at this?"

What's In It For You?

  • £35,000–£38,000 salary depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with a full hour for lunch.
  • No weekends. Ever. Your Saturdays belong to you.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • 22 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Free parking.
  • Work on your own car in your own time using the workshop.
  • Join a friendly independent garage where people know your name—not just your job card number.

Sound Like Your Kind of Workshop?

If you know your way around an engine bay, can diagnose more than just "it's making a funny noise," and you're looking for a garage where quality comes before clock-watching, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today before someone else beats you to the ramp!
