We are working with a highly respected restoration and engineering business specialising in classic, vintage and restomod vehicles. You’ll be working on a wide variety of vehicles, carrying out high quality welding, fabrication and metal shaping work as part of full restoration and modification projects.

The Role

  • MIG and TIG welding to a high restoration standard
  • Fabricating repair sections and body panels where replacements are unavailable
  • Corrosion repairs and structural restoration work
  • Panel fabrication, shaping and alignment
  • Working on bespoke modifications and restomod projects
  • Ensuring all repairs are finished and protected to a high anti-corrosion standard
  • Supporting full vehicle builds from strip down through to completion

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong fabrication and welding ability
  • Experience working with sheet metal and classic vehicle body repairs
  • Confident MIG welding skills
  • TIG welding experience highly desirable
  • Somebody who cares about accuracy, fit and finish
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team
  • Genuine interest in classic, specialist or older vehicles

Bonus Skills (Not Essential)

  • Experience using equipment such as an English wheel or Pullmax
  • Panel shaping and filler work
  • Accident repair or strip/fit experience
  • Aluminium and stainless TIG welding

This is an opportunity to join a business that does things properly, with varied and interesting projects rather than repetitive production work. Training and development can also be provided for somebody with the right attitude and core fabrication skills.
