We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanic / Vehicle Restoration Technician to join a well-equipped specialist workshop working on everything from pre-war vehicles through to 1990s modern classics. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to somebody who enjoys proper mechanical work, fault finding, and seeing projects through from strip-down to completion.
The Role
- Mechanical restoration work including underbody refurbishment, brake and fuel line replacement, servicing, and general repairs
- Vehicle strip-down and reassembly during restoration projects
- Refurbishment and overhaul of mechanical components
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding across a wide variety of classic and specialist vehicles
- Tyre fitting, wheel alignment, and workshop preparation work
- Supporting restoration projects from initial assessment through to completion
Ideally, You’ll Have
- Experience within a premium independent specialist or main dealer environment
- Strong diagnostic ability, both modern and traditional
- Confidence using diagnostic equipment, oscilloscopes, and dealer-level systems
- Experience working on classic vehicle restorations, motorsport builds, or complete vehicle projects
- Engine and gearbox rebuild experience would be highly beneficial
- Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to your work
