A main dealer in the Medway area is looking for an Entry Level PDI Technician to join its expanding operation. This is a genuine opportunity for a newly qualified technician who wants structured mentoring, hands-on experience, and a clear pathway into manufacturer accreditation.
This role gives the successful candidate the chance to build real workshop confidence from the ground up, working closely with an experienced technician and learning proper dealer standards through day-to-day Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), Multi-Point Checks (MPCs), and vehicle preparation work. It is structured, supported, and designed to develop competence quickly through repetition, guidance, and manufacturer training. A recent placement into the same role has already made strong progress and developed quickly within the environment.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Completing Multi-Point Checks (MPCs) accurately and consistently
- Supporting vehicle preparation to required standards
- Working alongside an experienced technician
- Learning workshop processes and inspection standards through hands-on mentoring
- Progressing through structured training towards full accreditation
Qualifications
- IMI Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification / completed automotive apprenticeship)
- Competent understanding of basic workshop practices and vehicle systems
- Reliable, motivated, and keen to develop within a main dealer environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Salary and Benefits
- £28,089 per annum (entry level starting point, increasing once accredited)
- Monthly bonus scheme: £150 (100% target) / £300 (110% target)
- Monday to Friday only, 8:00am to 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid break)
